Anyway, the other day I was feeling particularly sorry for myself walking past The Body Shop and noticed that their sale looked pretty decent, so in I went. Surprise, surprise. What I ended up buying wasn’t even in the sale and was brand new. It happens to the best of us. The sales assistant is like ‘hey try this cool thing’ and you stupidly try the cool thing and end up shelling out eighteen English pounds for the cool thing. The cool thing was the Vitamin C Glow Revealing Liquid Peel. What a mouthful.
Can I just say, though, that it’s really bloody cool. Like, really cool. Basically you rub a blob of it onto clean, dry skin, and all of a sudden your bits of gross just fall of in your hands. It’s like an exfoliator but also not. The more you rub, the more dead skin you peel away, and the smoother, fresher and generally all round amazing-er your skin feels. I’m obsessed. It also smells divine, and comes in a few other ranges too. The only downside is that you can only really use it 2-3 times a week and I want to use it all day every day. It’s like PVA glue on your hand but for adults with little access to PVA.
Another new fave is a bit of a cult fave. I’m so behind, I’m sorry. My mum and sister actually bought this for me in York as they felt bad for me being trapped writing my diss and eating only microwave food. I think they wanted to make sure that I at least looked like I had a healthy glow, even if I didn’t. Thanks, guys. Anyway, that’s right, it’s the MAC highlighter that everyone loves, Soft & Gentle. A beautiful warm glow with plenty of pigment that takes my cheekbones from zero to hero in seconds. What a delight. I’ve worn it every day since.
Finally, a bit of a ‘let’s see how it goes’ purchase, from makeup brand 3INA: the Liquid Concealer in 100. I won’t say it’s as good as the Urban Decay liquid concealer that we all love, but it’s definitely up there. Thick and creamy but very blendable, it’s pretty sweet. Pretty damn sweet. I always go for a concealer a little paler than my skin tone because then it can double as a contour highlight too. Just a little sneak peak into my life there.
Ooh nice picks! I love the Body Shop Vitamin C range – their moisturiser is my fave! This product sounds so interesting, very different but my skin could probably do with a bit of a shed! Lovely other picks too – I’ve heard a lot about this highlighter but still yet to purchase!

I’m having a bit of a beauty moment right now but I know what you mean, sometimes I go for ages not wanting anything! This highlighter looks gorgeous though, need to try it. Just got the Kiko 208 wet eyeshadow which I also use as a highlighter and that’s really good!xx

That Body Shop peel sounds amazing! I’ve never actually used a peel myself, I normally stick to clay or just normal face masks but it sounds great. I got a new highlighter recently too, the Becca Champagne Pop but in the little pen form. It’s perfect for inner corner and nose highlight although not as practical for cheeks! Beautiful colour though 🙂 xo
