THE REAL MVPS
Our photographers are just great, aren’t they? They stand in the cold with a camera they’re not quite familiar with, trying to make the dream we’re doing a really bad job of articulating come to life. They put up with our shouting and our mood swings, and our sadness and blame when the angle isn’t as flattering as we hope. They’re the real MVPs of blogging.
I’ve been shouting my praise for Ollie for a while on social media, but this last week has has surpassed himself. He’s got the art of taking photos of (and dealing with) me down to perfection. He makes me look good and feel amazing, and makes photo taking fun and easy.
Unless you have a fancy photographer take all your shots, or have succeeded in figuring out shooting with a tripod, your photo takers will be long suffering friends and family bribed with a coffee or maybe even lunch in return for 25 mins of self conscious photo taking. Instagram boyfriends are very real, my friends.
So this is just a post to say thank you.
The biggest hank you to Ollie for taking the best photos anyone has ever taken of me, over and over again. Thanks so my mum for taking hilarious shots that I manage to salvage into instagram posts. Thanks to the friends that I’m slowly plucking up the courage to ask ‘for a favour’ but haven’t quite got there yet.
Without you guys, none of us would have got anywhere. You deserve all the credit in the world, and we never ever give you enough. Thank you so much.
You can go follow Ollie’s instagram here – and you should because his photos of sunsets and London are just glorious. You’d be a fool not to head over there. x
