You’ll have to forgive how ridiculously photo heavy this post is. I think there are something like 12 photos of the same bag all from different angles? Excessive or necessary, you decide. But if you owned this bag… if you had spied this bag in the sale and clicked add to basket… damn. Wouldn’t you want to take a million photos of it too?
I’ve never really been that into bags, and hardly ever use them unless I need to carry something that won’t fit in my coat pocket. I find them annoying – they fall off my shoulder and get in the way and there’s always the possibility of leaving them on the seat in a café.
Sometimes, however, a bag just grabs me. I spotted this gorgeous mini saddle bag on The Cambridge Satchel Company’s instagram and immediately clicked through to find it in the boxing day sale! The pattern just spoke to me for some bizarre reason. The black leather and shining gold stars – maybe the spirit of Christmas compelled me.
And what better day to share it with you? I’ll be heading out for a chill dinner with Ollie this evening and I’ll definitely be bringing this baby along to keep my wallet and few little bits of makeup safe and happy. It’s the perfect size for holding the essentials, without letting you stuff it to the brim with useless stuff. It’s also just really bloody cute. Like really cute.
I think I’ll wear it with my camel beret, lobster necklace and a slick of coral lipstick. Easy NYE chic in about 5 seconds flat. What a way to bring in the new year!
As I say, I’m not really a bag gal, but there’s something about this guy that makes me happy. While he may not be every day (though, why not?) he’s a little bit of something special, and I can’t wear to get him out for more glitzy occasions. This won’t be the last time you see him in a post, I’ll tell you that for free.
And with that, all that’s left to say from me is Happy New Year!
I’m really excited about next year: I’m excited about taking it a little slower than last, and focusing more on sorting myself and my life out a little bit, rather than hurtling through each month head first. I’m going to focus on my MA and blog when I can, and generally sort myself out.
It’s all going to be fine and I’m going to be wonderful and n&b is going to grow even more and I’m going to continue to find my ~brand~ and become a famous internet person. I promise.
Famous last words, right?
Hey, at least I’m starting the year with a brand new bag! x
