[dropcap]C[/dropcap]harlotte Tilbury is definitely a blogger’s fave cult beauty brand. I mean, all that pretty rose gold, all those flattering shades, all those expensive trips to the Covent Garden store. We’re all obsessed with CT and we don’t even hide it. So what happens when CT decide to put one of their fave items on sale? Well, this does. I order it and pay for next day delivery so I could take it away on holiday with me.
For Christmas last year, Ollie bought me the Filmstar Bronze & Glow contour set and I’ve worn it every single day since – no lie. It’s a staple part of my makeup routine and I’ll be devastated when I eventually hit pan and beyond. It’s perfect.
So, naturally, I’ve been drawn to the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette ever since.
Basically, it’s everything you need for a natural, glowy look in one palette, that can be layered to take you from day to night. Pretty cool, right?
This palette of dreams makes applying makeup so easy that even 16 year old me could have done it. That’s right, old skinny eyebrows, kohl eyes, powdered lips me. She’d have probably not bothered though.
Throwback to the time my mum told me I really should start wearing blusher, and I was horrified.
Seriously though, everything is so easy with this palette, complete with CT video explaining it + how to apply it perfectly. It changed my life when I first watched it, and watched it four times on the day the palette arrived just because wow.
In fact, the video is so fab that when I followed it to the letter (subbing the products I had for things that I don’t…. yet – hello CT mascara and eyeliner) and then bombarded Ollie with a load of selfies, he told me how amazing my skin looked. All faked my friend. All faked.
All in all, it’s just a really lovely product and insanely flattering. The bronze and highlight are soft and glowy, the blushers aren’t too harsh, and the eye shades are lux and gorgeous, but simple. It’s honestly everything I’ve been looking for in each product, but in one palette.
With that in mind, I’m currently carrying it along with me around Canada and have left all of my individual pieces at home. Just this bad boy and a few staple pieces (eyeliner, foundation, etc.) and I’m good to go. I can even sit and do my makeup in the car using the massive mirror.
Thrilled. Absolutely thrilled.
