Sephora have a sale on at the moment. I know. I was excited too.
In fact, I actually ran down the escalator at the Rivoli branch to see what I could pick up. Fun? Yes. Risky? Yes. A little sad? Yes.
To be honest, I only went in for one thing. To pick up another of their brightly coloured fibre face masks. (Thanks, America. Fiber? Really?) Seriously, I love them. I’ve never known anything to do so many good things for my tone and complexion after just 15 minutes.
So there I am, walking towards the mask section when suddenly they catch my eye. The complete set that I’ve never been tempted towards because the idea of spending 25€ for face masks that I’m going to throw away after just seems excessive to me. A big 50% off sticker on the shelves above. My heart skipped a beat.In fact I was so so close to picking up two of them just to last me ’til June but then I thought that probably was the definition of excessive (still holding myself back from returning to pick another up.)
Perhaps the defining moment in the short life of these masks is what Ollie said to me the morning after I used the gorgeous iridescent pearl mask: ‘Wow your skin looks amazing. It’s glowing.’ That’s right, ladies and gents, a gross boy noticed the difference the mask made a good 12 hours after I wore it. I’d put that on the box, Sephora.
Each box comes with a selection of bright colours (a nightmare to photograph, tbh) and ‘flavours’ suitable for different skins and different results. Ant-aging, anti-fatigue, toning, brightening, etc etc. I can’t wait to give a few of the others a go, but so far my favourites are the pearl brightening (I genuinely think it even shrunk blemishes and removed all those annoying red marks) and the energising pomegranate.
Have you found your miracle face product?
Do you hate these photos as much as I do?
