Photos From Vietnam: Hội An

DSC06603 DSC06606 DSC06608 DSC06612Hoi An is possibly one of my all time favourite towns in the world.

I have never spent time anywhere with so much atmosphere and so much beauty.

Sadly, we didn’t spend very long in Hoi An as we had to get back up to Hanoi to catch our flight home. Cry. The few days that we did get to explore were just beautiful.

First up was an excursion to the My Son ruins – a fabulous ancient tomb and temple complex owing its origins to Indian Hinduism. As a theology student, and even then as a mere ALevel kid, I absolutely adored it.

The town itself is also incredible. Gorgeous winding streets full of little shops and vibrant markets, lanterns hanging high and bright in the evening and the bustling river through the centre of town. Delicious food and wonderful people. I cannot recommend Hoi An enough to anyone.

If I am ever lucky enough to be given the chance to return, I would take it in a heartbeat.

I can definitely see why Hoi An would be one of your favourite places! It looks absolutely gorgeous. Plus there is tons of history and architecture – two of my loves! I’d love to see it one day!
