[dropcap]S[/dropcap]o I’m sitting in Durham’s Flat White waiting for a friend to meet me for coffee and in order to not look like a loser, I’m writing this blog post. I haven’t posted in a while. I haven’t really had time to and haven’t really had any ideas so yeah, going well for me.
I have my laptop, obviously, my phone, my little academic diary, a diet coke and a pot of tea, and I’m living the dream. Everyone keeps complimenting my marble laptop sticker and I’ve just completed 20% of one of my modules by means of a rubbish presentation on Henry VIII – fourth year theology at it’s finest… We’ll see what kind of grade I get on that, but one of my slides was literally called ‘Who Was Henry VIII?’ so, yeah.
So this is going to be one of those informal posts where I just say hi and tell you a little about what I’m doing at the moment and what I have planned for the next few weeks. I have a few sponsored/gifted posts coming up that I’m really excited about so watch out for them, and hopefully when I’ve sorted more of a routine then we can resume normal business.
Surprise surprise, I’m ill. I have a shocker of a cold. It’s one of those colds that makes your nose stream constantly and includes a sore throat and a dry cough. The kind of cough that makes it seem like you’re just putting it on, but really you feel like there’s an entire pillow’s worth of feathers stuck in your wind pipe. Y’know?
I also got my nose pierced last week which was one of the best decisions ever and I love it. I love it. Sorry mum and dad, but I love it. That said, it has been a massive nightmare with my cold, and it has actually fallen out twice while blowing my nose which isn’t great. I’m made of steel so just gave it a clean and popped it back in, both times. Cool.
I think the reason I’ve been so behind on blogging is that for the first time since I started my blog, I have a solid group of friends that I spend time with most of the time. I’m back living in college, with people I genuinely like and enjoy spending time with, and we do things together (when we’re not working hard… or something). I’m having to get used to finding time to do things I always used to do, and then add in having a proper social life. I sound like such a loser saying this. It’s hilarious. Congrats to me.
And that’s pretty much all I have to say. Nothing much has really happened, despite being super busy, but I promise I’ll get back to it soon. Promise.0
