[dropcap]I[/dropcap]‘m not going to waste everyone’s time, including my own, by writing a huge long post about how lovely the whole day of my graduation was. Its another short one from me, I’m afraid. In a few weeks time there’ll be absolutely loads coming up on n&b so stay tuned for that. In the meantime here are a few photos and a little info on what the day brought!
The day started at 6am as Oliver and I groaned our way up and out of bed and into our clothes ready to head down to Durham Cathedral for 7:15. Yep. 7:15am. What a treat for a Friday morning. I was dressed in my robe, hung out with Ollie and my family for a few mins, and then made my way to the castle to be registered about a million different times. Everyone had to be in the right place, in the right order, standing next to the right people. At 9am we walked across Palace Green and into the cathedral itself for congregation.
The ceremony took about an hour (lots of hand shaking and clapping and laughing) before we processed back outside into the drizzle for photos and a few celebratory drinks, followed by a lovely lunch, some fabulous scones, and a super chilled burger dinner later in the day.
These are some of my fave snaps from the mini photo shoot that we held in the rain. Me, me and Ollie, me and my parents, my whole fam looking like we’re about to drop the biggest album of 2017 – you get the gist.
And then that’s that! I’m officially Imogen Mace BA (Hons) Dunelm. Pretty cool.
Also pretty cool considering that I am going to do it all again in January 2019, touch wood. I’m excited for next year, and the start of my masters next term. I love Durham, and I love learning. And today really made it all worth while.
