Packing for this holiday was a lot of fun – bright bikinis, gorgeous summer clothes and lovely dresses!
For a little (unusual) fashion post I thought I’d share with you the items I rolled up and packed in my rucksack, ready to hit the beach. So, without further a-do, I present a little of my Bali packing list!
For this trip I went a little OTT on the swimwear. I’ve actually got one more bikini but I didn’t think you’d want to see a plain black one – you know what a black bikini looks like! I picked up all of these bottoms from Tesco (aside from the pale blue) and all are so comfy and mix and match with my tops perfectly. I’m one happy, beach ready lady! 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
Dresses are perfect for slipping on when heading down to breakfast in the morning, or slipping on after the beach for a super easy day to night look. I don’t know how I’d cope on holiday without one or two little light dresses. The same can be said for a linen shirt: perfect for the all important covering of shoulders for temples and perfect for stopping that pesky sunburn! I also love this tropical playsuit from New Look (last summer). 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
Tops and shorts wise I’ve gone for a really simple looks – simple shapes and colours perfect for keeping cool and ‘keeping cool’… When it comes to hot weather I love wearing cheese-cloth style fabrics and stay away from synthetics. Nobody likes to be sweaty when out and about! 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
Now a few months ago I shared with you my discomfort at wearing shorts. I feel really really self conscious in them. Sadly, I’m just going to have to bite the bullet and wear them in Bali as trousers are a no-go. I’ve picked three really simple shorts, two denim and one pair of linen style from primark. Fabulous! 1 | 2 | 3
So there we are! Obviously I have a few more things packed as quite a few things were in the wash or, as with the black bikini, terribly obvious and boring. I’m quite proud of the fact that I’ve packed a whole two weeks worth of stuff into a rucksack, including beach towel and emergency mosquito net (we go off track for a few days). Oh and about four massive books + beauty, skincare, suncream etc! I’m a bit of a packing whizz…
What would you take?
I love the second dress in the image and its patterns make it perfect for Bali!!!
