Amie Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash

After my beloved Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Scrub ran out I was at a bit of a loss.

Finding the perfect facial wash is something that seems quite easy but is actually insanely hard. I mean obviously it has to wash your face, but with something you use twice daily it also needs to be a product you actually like, not just use and tolerate. I think I’ve found a new friend with Amie’s Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash.

I actually picked this up in the brand new John Lewis that has just popped up in my home town – seriously, I left for uni and when I came back it was there and shiny and oh-so-exciting!

Vegan and fabulous, containing no parabens, mineral oils, sulphates, GM ingredients or petrochemicals, Amie’s facial wash is the absolute bomb. The ultimate affordable cruelty free tube of goodness. The scent is refreshing and light and (weirdly) reminds me of France. Please don’t ask me why. Honestly, the scent is such a refreshing change from the Neutrogena (which I thought I loved) and its a pleasure to wash my face with the silky smooth formula.

What’s more is that I genuinely believe that it works quite a bit better than my old wash! My evening cleanse followed by a sweep of micellar has been altered quite a bit as I need fewer cotton pads to remove the bits of foundation and other makeup that my cleanser missed. Because of this, this cleanser is absolutely fabulous for those ‘too tired to do anything’ evenings or late night bedtimes as just a simple wash and moisturise is enough to tie you through ’til tomorrow. As a student, post-exams, this gets a massive thumbs up from me.

I think the biggest effect that this facial wash has had on me is my new deeper appreciation of natural, vegan cosmetics. While my diet is predominantly plant-based I am not vegan nor do I have any serious plans to become vegan. However, from now on I’m going to make a greater effort to buy more natural, cruelty free products as they really do work just as well, if not better, as the mainstream alternatives.

(I’m currently enjoying the holiday of a lifetime in Bali – you can follow what I’m up to on my instagram!)
